The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO), Ahmed Samaah Rasheed has been suspended.

In a press release publicized on Monday, the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) revealed that Samaah was suspended from his duties, in efforts to carry out a thorough inquiry into issues linked to corporate governance, filed with the PCB.

A letter was forwarded to PCB regarding serious allegations against him.

Samaah has been suspended for a period of 14 days.

A letter was leaked within social media and media houses, regarding allegations pinned on him by PCB, in the past as well.

He faced 12 key allegations back then.
