Pres. urges public to adhere to Islamic traditions this Ramadan
 
He conveyed a message on the commencement of Ramadan, on Monday
 
Urged the people to keep the entire Muslim nation in their prayers
 
Muizzu prayed for the victory of the Palestinian people

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged the public to adhere to Islamic customs during the fasting month of Ramadan.

He said this in a message conveyed on the occasion of the commencement of Ramadan 1445, on Monday.

In his message to his people the president urged them to maintain bonds, follow Islamic traditions, and conduct themselves accordingly.

Shedding light on the significant of enhancing the tradition of helping one another, the president stressed that the fasting month is a month of goodness, in all aspects.

He went on to emphasize his administration’s efforts to demonstrate good conduct through multiple initiatives including addressing concerns such as overdue payments for fishermen before Ramadan, resolving emergency patient airlift issues before the month began, distributing Ramadan gifts to each household as well as declaring the final ten days of Ramadan government holidays, so that the people can focus more on religious practices.

Urging his people to keep the entire Muslim nation in their prayers, the president stated that the Muslim nation is a united entity similar to a single body.

Muizzu prayed for the victory of the Palestinian people and for their freedom from oppression and injustice.
