President Muizzu in UAE to attend World Governments Summit 2024
The president is scheduled to deliver an address at the summit
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu departed from VIA on Sunday evening
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is in the middle east to attend the World Governments Summit 2024.
The Maldivian leader departed to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Velana International Airport (VIA) on Sunday evening.
The World Governments Summit 2024 will proceed from February 12 – 14.
The official visit comes upon the invitation of Vice-President, Prime Minister and Minister for Defence of UAE, Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Themed ‘Shaping Future Governments', the World Governments Summit will welcome governments, international organizations, thought leaders, and private sector leaders this year, where discussions will take place on future challenges and empowering the next generation of governments.
The president is scheduled to deliver an address at the summit.
Muizzu will also be engaging in discussions with dignitaries attending the summit.
In addition to this, Muizzu will attend and deliver the keynote address at the Maldives Investment Forum.
The Maldives Investment Forum will take place on February 13.
