The Maldives Police Service (MPS) arrested a 42-year-old in connection with the case.
The man is accused of abusing, possessing and trafficking narcotics.
The Criminal Court has remanded the man for a period of six days. His remand period will expire on 17 February 2024.
The court order states that there is sufficient evidence to prove the accusations against him.
