Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has signed the book of condolences opened in memory of late Ismail Visham.

VP Latheef signed the book placed at the Department of Judicial Administration, on Tuesday.

In his message of condolences, the Vice President shed light on the late Bar Council President’s dedicated services and described his contributions to the progress of the legal services sector of the Maldives to have been invaluable.

VP Latheef highlighted that Visham earned the appreciation of legal professionals for strengthening the Bar Council.

The Vice P resident went on to express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the late Ismail Visham as well as members of the Bar Council and everyone working in the field of legal services.

The President of the Bar Council passed away some time on January 31.

Wisham, who served as the Assistant Attorney General during the long tenure of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, was appointed as the President of the Bar Council on 12 June 2022.

In a post on social media platform ‘X’, members of the Executive Committee, Bar Council and the Secretariat as well as several top political figures and senior government officials offered their deepest condolences to the family and loved ones on the tragic passing of the late bar council leader.

Wisham had experience in the legal field and had proved his resilience with his diligent work in the field.
