Hanimaadhoo International Airport

A man claiming to have been carrying a bomb has been arrested in Haa Dhaal Hanimaadhoo Airport.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they detained a man who arrived at Hanimaadhoo International Airport for departure, after he allegedly made a threat that he was carrying a bomb.

The incident was reported on Monday.

Arrested in connection with the case was a Maldivian man.

Although no further details have been disclosed by the police institution, the case is currently under further investigation.
