The Maldivian leader sent a message of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi on Thursday.

The Maldivian leader expressed shock and horror on learning of the bombings in Kerman on Wednesday in his message.

Stressing that the pointless targeting of civilians is a gross violation of international human rights laws, showing blatant disregard for the sanctity of life, President Muizzu highlighted that the Maldivian government strongly condemns this cowardly act of terrorism.

President Muizzu went on to offer condolences to the bereaved families and those affected by this heinous attack.

Reaffirming that the government of Maldives remains firmly committed in the battle against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, President Muizzu stated that such acts of cruelty have no place in this world.

The bombings are to have claimed the lives of nearly 100 innocent civilians and injured many in their wake.
