The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has summoned an individual for questioning regarding a case of theft.
The police institution publicized the summons notice, as the authority’s efforts to locate the man and handover his summons notice has been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.
The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
The case of theft is being investigated by the Meemu atoll Muli Police Station.
Being sought is an expatriate named MD Azizal Islam.
The foreigner is summoned for questioning regarding the case probe, ongoing at the Muli Police Station.
He is to present himself to Muli Police Station or the police station closest to his location, at 11am on 26 December 2023.
