Hassan Mughnee has been appointed as a member of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu made the appointment on Thursday, under the authority vested to him by the Privatization, Corporatization, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Government Businesses Act.

Positions Mughnee earlier filled include Minister of State for Environment, Climate Change, and Technology and Managing Director at the State Electric Company (STELCO).

Mughnee holds a Master of Business Administration with a major in International Business in Finance and Economics from Massachusetts, the United States, Brandeis International Business School.

President Muizzu appointed Hamdhy Ageel as the President of PCB on Wednesday.

The president also appointed three other members to PCB including Ahmed Mushthag, Leena Abdul Jaleel, and Moosa Fathuhy.
