President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inspected the progress of the Greater Malé Connectivity project.
The Maldivian leader conducted a site visit to assess the progress of the Greater Malé Connectivity – Malé to Thilafushi Link Project, on Wednesday.
President Muizzu was joined by Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, Ministers of the Cabinet as well as senior government officials.
The president toured several sections of the Greater Malé Connectivity project as part of his visit, which began with an inspection of the Malé City project site, revolving around the ongoing progress of the bridge and ramp.
President Muizzu went on to inspect the progress in the project connecting the capital to Villingili island, including the ongoing construction of the bridge piers.
Further, the president visited the Gulhifalhu project site as well, where he asked about the progress of the ongoing pre-casting work and other aspects related to the bridge project.
The president earlier pledged to expedite the completion of the Greater Malé Connectivity - Malé to Thilafushi Link Project.
The evaluation of the status of the Thilamalé bridge project lines up with the incumbent administration’s commitments emphasized in the "Hafthaa 14" roadmap.
