Over MVR 23 million for IAC's Gaza emergency relief fund
IAC expressed gratitude to the people for their solidarity

More than MVR 23 million has been donated to the emergency relief fund opened by the International Aid Campaign (IAC) to support Palestine.
IAC revealed that they have received a total of MVR 23,987,108 and USD 13,023 in donations to the Gaza Emergency Relief 2023 Fund.
Noting the generous support extended by the people of Maldives to the Islamic Ummah in all the problems that arise for them, IAC expressed gratitude to the people for their solidarity.
Several activities are being carried out in the Greater Malé Region as well as outlying atolls to support the Palestinian people by raising funds.
Further, the Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) had also received a total of MVR 1.6 million in funds to support the people of Palestine, by October 26.
Israel declared war on Palestine after Hamas launched a mass military operation into the territory of Israel on October 7 in response to Israeli violation of the Al Aqsa Mosque. Attacks on Palestinians by Israeli settlers have since spiked. Israel’s blockage on Gaza has intensified three weeks into the war and over the past two days, Israel’s bombardment has deepened.
The death toll in Palestine has exceeded 8,000 due to the Israeli air strikes on Gaza and millions of people have been displaced.
