The airport jetty construction project in Hoarafushi island of Haa Alif atoll has been wrapped up.
This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Wednesday.
As such, taking to Twitter to provide the latest updates of the Hoarafushi airport jetty construction project to the public, MTCC revealed that they have successfully completed the project.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC conducted channel dredging operations in an area spanning 18,000 cubic meters.
Further, a 44-meter quay wall was constructed alongside a jetty using precast L blocks.
The project also entailed protecting the jetty area using a rock boulder revetment measuring 49 meters.
MTCC also reclaimed a jetty area measuring 51,587 cubic meters.
The installation of navigation lights was also a part of the project.
The company commenced the physical work of the project on 7 September 2022.
The Hoarafushi airport jetty construction project was valued at MVR 5.65 million.
