S. Hithadhoo Old Harbor Breakwater Construction Project sees progress
The value of the project is MVR 130.26 million

The first shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall construction under the project has been delivered to the site

Phase Two of the Old Harbor Breakwater Construction Project of Addu City Hithadhoo is progressing well.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) was awarded the Old Harbor Breakwater Construction Project (Phase 2) of Hithadhoo, by the Ministry of National Planning Housing and Infrastructure.

MTCC states that the project is well underway.

As such, the company notes that the first shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall construction under the project has been delivered to the site.

The scope of the project includes land reclamation operations of 5.88 hectares.

Additionally, the scope of the works also includes 419 meters revetment, 270 meters groyne and 728 meters quay wall construction.

Furthermore, MTCC will also be installing 5,455 square meters of harbor pavement and a scour apron.

MTCC will also be constructing a ramp measuring 12 meters by 12 meters and bridge measuring 10 meters by 96 meters.

The value of the project is MVR 130.26 million.
