President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the completion of several infrastructure projects in three islands of Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
The President inaugurated the completion of infrastructure projects in Dhaandhoo island, Kolamaafushi island and Maamendhoo island of Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
The projects were inaugurated on Thursday, as part of his tour of the atoll. The President visited all three islands separate and inaugurated the projects.
The projects include the water supply network in Dhaandhoo Island, the Fenaka Office, and the volleyball court in Kolamaafushi Island and the school extension building in Maamendhoo Island.
The water supply network in Dhaandhoo Island was contracted to Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd.
The newly constructed Fenaka Office in Kolamaafushi Island features modern facilities, including a reception area, manager's room, and meeting room, and can accommodate up to 50 staff members.
The government funded the development of the volleyball court in Kolamaafushi Island.
Well Trading Pvt. Ltd. constructed the two-classroom extension building at Maamendhoo School with the assistance of Japanese aid.
Under the leadership of President Solih, the administration has made significant strides towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives.
During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services. The completion of these projects marks a significant step forward in the development of these islands.
