President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has marked the completion of several infrastructure development projects carried out by his administration in Gemanafushi Island of Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

The projects were inaugurated on Wednesday and Thursday, as part of President Solih's visit to the island.

The projects inaugurated on Wednesday were, the extension of the healthcare center and the school’s 10-classroom extension.

The healthcare center extension building features an office, a public health unit, a conference room, a medical store, a general store, a garage, and laundry facilities. The project was contracted to Veeru Group Pvt. Ltd. and is part of the administration’s efforts to improve healthcare services in the nation.

The extension building of the school sought to address space constraints at the school, was contracted to Swift Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

The island's Fenaka Office and water supply system was inaugurated on Thursday.

The new FENAKA Office is modern building with ample space for 30 employees.

The water supply network project was contracted to Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd.

Under President Solih’s leadership, the administration has made significant strides towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
