President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the completion of development projects in two more islands of Gaafu Dhaalu atoll.
The projects were inaugurated on Wednesday, as part of President Solih’s tour of the atoll.
Inaugurated were the new Fenaka office building of Vaadhoo island and the new central powerhouse of Faresmaathodaa island.
The new Fenaka office in Vaadhoo Island and the Central Power Station in Faresmaathodaa Island are part of the administration's efforts to improve infrastructure and provide reliable services to the residents of these islands.
Vaadhoo Fenaka office is modern and spacious, featuring a staff room, lobby, reception, meeting room, and guest room. The office was designed to provide a comfortable and efficient working environment for Fenaka employees and serve the local community's needs better.
The new central powerhouse of Faresmaathodaa Island, is also spacious and equipped with modern facilities. The station has a generation capacity of 1840 kilowatts, providing reliable electricity to the island's residents.
Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant progress towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
