President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has begun his campaign tour of Meemu and Vaavu atolls.
The Maldivian leader departed on Saturday, on the three-day campaign tour, as part of his campaign for re-election in the upcoming Presidential election.
The president’s campaign tour of Meemu and Vaavu atolls, will conclude on July 17.
He will visit four islands of Meemu atoll including Kolhufushi, Naalaafushi, Muli and Mulah.
During these visits the president will be holding discussions with the island communities regarding their needs and the issues they are currently facing.
Further, he will also be inaugurating some services to be launched in these islands including several development projects in Kolhufushi as well as the FENAKA powerhouse established in Naalaafushi.
In Vaavu atoll, President Solih will visit Rakeedhoo, Keyodhoo, Felidhoo, Thinadhoo and Fulidhoo, where again he will be holding discussions with the island communities regarding their needs and requirements.
So far, the Maldivian leader has embarked on campaign tours across Shaviyani and most recently, Kaafu atoll.
