An individual has been arrested for issuing death threats.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that a 44-year-old Maldivian man was arrested from Hulhumeedhoo district of southernmost Addu City.
The man is accused of attempting to disrupt public peace.
The 44-year-old was first arrested on June 27.
However, he was released within 24 hours, the first time round.
The suspect was arrested against on June 28, after he threatened to kill someone.
The arrest was made under a court order.
Further investigations are currently underway, into both cases involving the man.
