Vice President Faisal Naseem attended the inauguration ceremony of the Turkish president on Saturday

Vice President Faisal Naseem has attended the inauguration ceremony of President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s special envoy.

The ceremony was held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Saturday.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by heads of state and government across the globe.

VP Naseem also participated in an official dinner hosted by President Erdoğan in honor of the visiting delegates.

Through re-election on 28 May 2023, President Erdoğan secured a third term in office.

Formal diplomatic relations were established between the Maldives and Türkiye on 28 May 1979.
