In a message of condolences conveyed to the President of the Republic of Türkiye on Thursday, the Maldivian leader offered sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and loved ones and offered prayers for the swift recovery of those injured following the horrific attack on the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries near Ankara.
The Maldivian president stated that he received the news of the attack with deep sorrow and condemned it on behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives.
In conclusion, the president affirmed that the people and government of Maldives stand in solidarity with the brotherly and sisterly people of Türkiye.
International media outlets have reported that an explosion outside the main office of an aviation company on Wednesday night resulted in multiple casualties and fatalities.
According to information from the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Türkiye, five people were killed and 22 were injured in the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, so far.
