Ambassador of Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Khaleel has presented his credentials as the new Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Maldives to the State of Kuwait.
Ambassador Khaleel presented his Letter of Credence to Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait on Wednesday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid congratulated Khaleel on presenting his credentials and expressed confidence that the strong ties that exist between Maldives and Kuwait will continue to flourish during his ambassadorial tenure.
During the ceremony, the Foreign Minister of Kuwait congratulated Ambassador Khaleel on the beginning of his term and wished him all the best in performing his ambassadorial duties.
Expressing gratitude to the government of Kuwait for the longstanding and close relationship upheld with the Maldivian government, Ambassador Khaleel conveyed greetings and warm felicitations from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the Emir, the government and the brotherly people of Kuwait.
Further, he expressed commitment to enhance the existing bilateral relations and close cooperation between Maldives and Kuwait.
The credentials ceremony was joined by Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Maldives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Badoora Saeed.
