As part of the International Girls in ICT day initiatives to raise awareness about the opportunities in ICT for students, Bank of Maldives has started a four-day community outreach program in Fuvahmulah City and Addu City.

BML states that women leading the company's technology team visited Gn. Atoll Education Centre on Wednesday, and conducted special sessions.

The sessions conducted included sessions on cybersecurity, scam and fraud awareness. Career opportunities in ICT and Data engineering was also conducted to over 100 students.

The BML team consisting of specialists such as data engineers, software developers, UI/UX designers and technical support specialists also conducted mentorship sessions and advised on career opportunities for school leavers.

The team will also visit Fuvahmulah Branch, Gan Branch, Hithadhoo Branch and BML Contact Centre in Addu and provide feedback on system processes and identify areas for service improvements.
