A man has died in a fatal road accident in Hulhumalé Phase II.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of the fatal road accident at around 09:56am on Monday and that the accident occurred after a motorcycle and a pickup clashed near the Maldives Ports Limited flat in Hulhumalé Phase II.
The victim in the fatal road accident has been identified as a 59-year-old man.
He is to have passed away while receiving treatment for injuries at the Hulhumalé Hospital.
The police institution is conducting further investigations into the fatal road accident.
Of recent, road accidents occurring in the Greater Malé Region have been surging, with 47 road accidents reported in the first week of the ongoing fasting month of Ramadan alone.
