Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the installation of shades at bus stops at Addu City mainland.

MTCC disclosed that they have completed the installation of shades at 21 bus stops of Addu City mainland. As such, shaded bus stops were installed in Hithadhoo, Maradhaoo, MaradhooFeydhoo, Feydhoo and Gan district of Addu City.

Eight buses are being operated in four routes of Addu City Hithadhoo and Feydhoo, and four buses are being operated in four routes of Addu City Hulhumeedhoo.

MTCC is providing the same service in Fuvahmulah city as well as Laamu Atoll Gan, Isdhoo and Kalaidhoo Islands. As such, five buses are being operated in three routes of Fuvahmulah City.

While two buses are are being operated in one route of L. Isdhoo and L. Kalaidhoo, five buses are being operated in four routes in Gan island and Fonadhoo island of the atoll.

The mini bus operations comes under the Raajje Transport Link services introduced by the government to improve the transportation services of the country. Under RTL, MTCC will be providing ferry services and bus services in the country.

MTCC states that customers will be able to view the RTL bus schedule via the company's website. Additionally, customers can also use the company's hotline 1650 to inquire about the services.

People with special needs, people over the age of 65, children in school uniform and children under the age of three will be able to travel free of charge.

MTCC highlights that the company's aim as the largest transportation service provider of the country is to provide the customers with the latest and easily accessible services.
