Mini bus service will solve the transportation issue of Villimale': Azim

The introduction of Raajje Transport Link (RTL) mini bus service in Villimale' will solve the island's transportation issue, said the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Adam Azim.
Azim stated this while speaking to the press after commencing the RTL mini bus service in Villimale' on Friday.
He noted that the Villimale' community has been raising concern over the fact that they do not have a reliable source of transportation within the island.
Highlighting that MTCC has finally solved this issue, Azim noted that the mini bus service will be an immense help to the elderly, people with special needs and students residing in Villimale'.
Azim highlighted that the RTL mini bus service was commenced in Villimale' under the instructions of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Furthermore, Azim noted that the bus routes were decided after researching the stops the majority of the community would want. He stated that more routes and stops will be included with the feedbacks they receive.
Azim noted that the fare price of Villimale' mini bus will be announced once the free trial period is completed.
The RTL mini bus service was commenced in Villimale' on Friday and the first two weeks has been announced as a trial period. As such, customers can use the bus service for free during this period.
Speaking to the press, member of parliament for Villimale' constituency, Ahmed Usham noted that the commencing of mini bus service in the island is a very happy news for the island community. He also noted the concerns raised by the community due to the lack of proper transportation services within the island.
The island community have also expressed how delighted they are about the new service that was commenced in the island.
MTCC is using environment friendly electronic busses in Villimale'. As such the company is using six busses with a capacity of carrying 15 passengers.
MTCC commenced the RTL mini bus service in Villimale' as part of the company's work to provide RTL mini bus service in Greater Male' Region.
MTCC highlights that the company's aim as the largest transportation service provider of the country is to provide the customers with the latest and easily accessible services.
