Indian High Commissioner pays a courtesy call on VP

High Commissioner of India Munu Mahawar, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem
The High Commissioner of the Republic of India to the Republic of Maldives, Munu Mahawar, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem.
The Indian High Commissioner met VP Naseem on Tuesday, at the President's Office.
During the meeting, the Vice President and High Commissioner spoke about strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.
As such, the Vice President extended his gratitude to the government of India for its continued support to the Maldives through the High Impact Community Development Projects.
Discussions were also held regarding facilitating drug detox and rehabilitation centers in the Maldives, with the possibility of periodic visits from doctors and psychiatrists from India.
Further discussions were held regarding the development of human resources in Maldives' health sector through training, vocational training opportunities for Maldivians and the development of the sports sector in the Maldives.
Additionally, the Vice President and the High Commissioner spoke about ways Indian start-up incubators could provide capacity-building and training opportunities for private-sector businesses in the Maldives.
The High Commissioner also expressed India's keenness to provide medical and pharmaceutical equipment to the Maldives. He also assured the Vice President of India's continued support and assistance to the Maldives.
