Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the asphalt paving for GA parking at Velana International Airport (VIA) is well underway.

MTCC states that the project has seen overall 46 percent progress.

Under the scope of the project, MTCC will be completing asphalt work on 55,818 hectares of land.

The company will also be disposing of top soil from 55,818 hectares of land and leveling work of 8,372.70 hectares of land.

The scope of the project also includes subbase work of 55,818 cubic meters and subgrade compact work on 8,372.70 hectares of land.

Additionally, the company will also be completing a temporary fence of 776 meters.

The project is valued at MVR 91.45 million.
