H.E. Dr Bisera Turković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, paid a courtesy call on H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday morning.

The President welcomed Dr Turković to the Maldives during the meeting, noting that this was the first visit to the Maldives by a high-level diplomat from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Speaking with the President, the Bosnian Foreign Minister conveyed to him well wishes and shed light on the fact that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between the two countries. President Solih and Dr Turković also discussed various matters of mutual interest, including enhancing cooperation in tourism, higher education and youth development and strengthening multilateral cooperation in the international arena.

In conclusion, President Solih and Dr Turković expressed their mutual commitment to continue working together for the common good of both countries. The Maldives established diplomatic relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 27, 1997.
