The Rajanukul Institute of Thailand has offered scholarship opportunities to the Maldives.

This was done during a meeting the institute’s officials held with the First Lady of Maldives, Fazna Ahmed.

FL Fazna visited the institution as part of her ongoing visit to Thailand to attend festivities held in honor of the Thai Queen Mother's 90th birth anniversary.

A multi-speciality hospital in Bangkok aimed at advancing and improving the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the Rajanukul Institute is operated under the Thai Department of Mental Health.

The meeting with FL Fazna saw senior officials of the institution offering three scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students to be enrolled in the "Mental Health Care in Children and Adolescents" programme.

The “Mental Health Care in Children and Adolescents” programme, commences in January 2023.

FL Fazna on Tuesday attended the opening ceremony of the third International Thai Silk Fashion Week as part of her visit.

The first lady attended the opening ceremony on Tuesday, at the Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.

The third International Thai Silk Fashion Week is held in honor of the Thai Queen Mother’s 90th birth anniversary.

With the participation of fashion designers from around the world, the International Thai Silk Fashion Week will proceed until December 11.

The Maldivian first lady also attended the presentation of the Thai Silk designs by Maldivian fashion designer Jaadhulla Ismail on Wednesday.

FL Fazna headed to Thailand upon the invitation of the Association of Thai Silk and Culture Promotions.
