Bank of Maldives has honored their long-serving employees.
The country’s national bank held an event to honor the loyalty of their long-serving employees on Tuesday, where awards were presented to staff members who have worked in the bank for an extended period of decades.
During Tuesday’s ceremony, BML conferred awards to employees who have provided service to the bank for 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years.
BML’s CEO Karl Stumke presented awards to 68 employees at the ceremony held at Dharubaaruge.
The bank’s Deputy CEO Aishath Noordeen, Development Banking Director Fathimath Manike and Senior Facilities Officer Moosa Mohamed received special commendation for having served the bank for 40 years, since its inception.
Senior Reconciliation Officer Firag Ahmed received special recognition for his services spanning a period of 35 years, during the ceremony.
Taking the podium at the event, the bank’s CEO expressed sincere gratitude to the employees for the several years of hard work and diligence to build the bank as the leading bank of the archipelago nation.

With 99 percent of its staff base being locals, BML is the largest bank and one of the largest employers in the Maldives.
The bank highlighted that it takes pride in implementing forward-looking human resources policies to ensure the highest professional standards of employee recruitment, development, and reward.
