President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the largest facility dedicated to table tennis, in the Maldives.
The “Malé Table Tennis Hall” was inaugurated on Thursday.
It was inaugurated as part of the administration’s efforts to promote the sports sector of the archipelago nation.
The 12-table facility was launched in the presence of Vice President Faisal Naseem.
In 2021, the administration opened a table tennis hall in Hulhumalé, followed by one in Fuvahmulah City in 2022 as well.
The President’s Office revealed that the incumbent administration remains committed to develop sports facilities across Maldives and pave the path for training opportunities for athletes.
The Solih administration has hosted several international sports events this year as part of its efforts.
