Maldives and EU to hold the Sixth Policy Dialogue

Maldives is to host the sixth Maldives – European Union Policy Dialogue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release issued on Tuesday, revealed that the sixth Maldives –EU Policy Dialogue will be held on Wednesday, hosted by the Ministry.
The annual dialogue will be hosted with the purpose of facilitating open and constructive engagement between the Maldives and EU in a bid to further solidify the existing ties of friendship and cooperation between Maldives and EU.
2022’s Maldives – EU Policy Dialogue will revolve around discussions on democracy, governance and strengthening of the justice sector, security cooperation, trade, tourism, investment, finance and economic cooperation, environment and climate change as well as Schengen Visa facilitation.
Ambassador of the European Union to the Maldives, Denis Chaibi will be leading the EU Delegation.
The Maldives’ delegation will be led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid.
EU Ambassadors and senior officials of the government of Maldives will also participate in the dialogue.
