Telecommunications giant Dhiraagu has officially established DhiraaguTV and Dhiraagu high-speed fiber services in Dhevvadhoo island of Gaaf Alif atoll.
The two services were launched by the company alongside Dhevvadhoo residents on Sunday, during a special ceremony, to unveil special offers.
This initiative comes under the program to develop and broaden the digital services provided by the telecom giant.
With the services, customers who apply for Dhiraagu Fiber Broadband packages will receive fiber installation services for free as well as a free router or ONT for the fiber network.
The company has described this as a golden opportunity for customers to choose the variety of packages including the biggest data allowances and swift speed.
Under the offer, DhiraaguTV and fiber connections will be done for free along with a free Joybox through which DhiraaguTV uses a fixed broadband connection to stream. As such, Dhevvadhoo residents may now access the most entertaining content under one platform.
Dhiraagu fiber broadband service remains the fastest provider in the Maldives at a speed of 100mbps and their biggest allowance is a package of 1tb while fiber broadband is the latest technology used to provide broadband services across the nation. Whereas the introductory package of DhiraaguTV service includes over 100 channels ranging from recently introduced Disney, news, sports as well as entertainment packs, it costs MVR 300.
Since its establishment, the service has attained observable progress such as the introduction of video on-demand feature and the special app for DhiraaguTV. Currently the service has been provided over 85 percent of the country thus far. This makes up 99 islands.
DhiraaguTV does not take additional charges from your Internet package, nor does it affect your internet usage allowance and uses a fixed broadband connection through joybox and set-top box streaming. DhiraaguTV is the first and only Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service established in the country and has been made available nationwide.
The telecom provider is continuing to establish its fiber broadband services across the nation at a swift speed. The telecom giant aims to broaden their services across Maldives with the use of innovation and modern technology.
