The shore protection project in Dharavandhoo island of Baa atoll, is well underway.

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that the third shipment of rock boulders required for the shore protection project in Dharavandhoo island have been delivered to the project site.

The shipment was delivered to the project site on Monday.

MTCC was contracted the Dharavandhoo shore protection project by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct beach filling works in an area measuring 10,800 cubic meters.

Further, the construction of a breakwater measuring 490 meters and a revetment measuring 96 meters, is also included under the scope of the project.

The project is valued at MVR 22.14 million.
