High Commissioner of Pakistan Vice Admiral Ather Mukhtar (Retd) has paid a farewell call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The Pakistani HC paid his farewell call at the President’s Office, on Monday.
The meeting saw President Solih commending the Pakistani HC for his “sincere” work and dedication to solidify the bilateral ties between Maldives and Pakistan.
The pair went on to recall the dynamics of the bilateral relations and the growth of collaboration.
Discussions were also held on the enhanced people-to-people ties, health, tourism, and economic collaboration.
They also engaged in discussions regarding strengthening collaboration in the trade and tourism sectors.
President Solih inquired from the Pakistani HC about the post-recovery efforts of the recent flood in Pakistan, following which the high commissioner briefed the president on the matter.
He also expressed gratitude to the Maldivian government for the generous assistance and support towards the relief efforts.
President Solih and the Pakistani HC both affirmed confidence in further strengthening relations in the future.
