Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives has attended the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s special envoy.
FM Shahid attended the state funeral of the former Japanese Prime Minister on Tuesday morning.
The foreign minister represented Maldives at the funeral service held in Tokyo.
The funeral service was also attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel and Ambassador of Maldives to Japan, Hassan Sobir.
A number of foreign dignitaries and state leaders also attended the funeral.
FM Shahid departed to Japan to attend the funeral on Monday.
