Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has disclosed that the Boat Beaching Area Project of Velidhoo island of Noonu Atoll is well underway.
MTCC has shared that overall 56 percent of the Boat Beaching Area Project of Velidhoo has now been completed.
The company highlights that levelling of reclaimed area is currently ongoing, with 86 percent completion.
Under the project, MTCC will be doing reclamation operations of 1.5 hectares in the island.
Additionally, the company will also do levelling 138,247 square meters of the reclaimed area.
Moreover, the scope of the project also includes construction of a 214 meters of revetment and 100 meters of breakwater.
The value of the project is MVR 19.4 million.
