The government is conducting the development of the outer constituencies after full consultation with those involved, has said Nolhivaranfaru MP Mohammed Nasheed Abdullah, who is from the opposition side.
Nasheed was speaking at the ceremony held to mark the completion of the water and sewerage system in Nolhivaranfaru Island, in his constituency.
The work to establish the water system was launched on 1 November 2018. Member Nasheed said the work has been completed with many challenges despite the COVID-19 situation. He said the project has been completed because of non stop work despite many difficulties and obstacles.
The MP further noted that the government consults those involved regarding all these issues. In particular, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih discusses everything he said. The Member noted that he is keeping a close watch on everything very carefully.
The MP added that he had shared many concerns with the President and Cabinet Ministers during the recent Viya Vathi Conference, and noted that these include difficulties encountered in having to travel to Kulhudhuffushi due to absence of ATM service in the constituency.
