Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has disclosed that design and build of M. Muli Airport is currently underway.
MTCC stated that runway reclamation and fire building plastering works are currently ongoing at the site. As such, 42 percent of the runway reclamation is currently done and 68 percent of fire building plastering work is completed.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC will be doing reclamation operations of 14 hectares and coastal protection operations of 1,812m.
Additionally, the company will also be doing construction of a 1200m x 30m runway; taxiway and an apron.
The value of the project is MVR 221.733 million.
