Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a search for an individual wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation.
In an announcement on Wednesday, the police institution identified the individual as Mohamed Zuhair, 40, a native of Maabaidhoo island of Laamu atoll.
The man is wanted in connection with a case of theft that has been submitted to the Criminal Court.
MPS revealed that they were unable to locate the man to issue his summons chit, as his address remains unknown.
The court ordered the police institution to locate the man and present him to the court at 10am, 28 August 2022.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information on the wanted individual is attained.
The police institution has also expressed gratitude for the immense public support and assistance in such matters.
