The German President welcomed Ambassador Shaan to Germany

The Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Federal Republic of Germany, has presented her credentials.

Ambassador Aishath Shaan Shakir presented her Letter of Credence to the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier during an official ceremony held on Monday.

The ceremony kicked off with military honors at the Presidential Palace, Schloss Bellevue.

Following the ceremony, the President of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and the Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid congratulated Ambassador Shaan on presenting her credentials.

PGA Shahid expressed confidence that her knowledge and years of experience will prove invaluable in strengthening the friendly relations between both countries.

The German President welcomed Ambassador Shaan to Germany and offered congratulations on her assuming her official duties as the Maldivian ambassador to Germany.

This was done during a private audience.

The Maldivian ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings from the President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, as well as the people of Maldives, to the people and president of Germany.

The Maldivian ambassador and German president went on to affirm their commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Shaan was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador Mohamed Jinah, Counsellor Umaira Mohamed and Third Secretary Mohamed Fazeel Hussain of the Embassy of Maldives in Germany.
