Buru Sports Club heads to the finals

Buru Sports Club has advanced to the finals of the FAM Second Division Football tournament.

Buru advanced to the finals after defeating the crowned kings of Maldivian football, New Radiant Sports Club on Sunday.

Buru Sports Club won the match against New Radiant after a round of penalties.

During the first half of the match, Buru took the lead, with a goal by foreign player Stephan. New Radiant made the score even, to 1-1 in the 33 minute of the match.

Neither of the team were able to take the lead by the end of the first half. The second half of the match saw both the teams trying to take the lead of the match unsuccessfully. Even though Buru was able to score a goal during the 67 minute of the game, the referee ruled the goal as an off side goal.

As neither of the teams were able to take the lead by the end of the fulltime game, both the teams took part in the penalties. Buru Sports Club won the round of penalties with a score of 4-3.
