Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives has expressed confidence that Sri Lanka will steer towards further success under the “able” guidance of the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Ali Sabry.

He said this in a congratulatory message extended to the new Sri Lankan foreign minister, following his appointment.

As such, the Maldivian foreign minister extended warmest congratulations to his Sri Lankan counterpart and expressed confidence that Sri Lanka will navigate towards further success and prosperity under his “able” guidance.

FM Shahid went on to express keen interest to work closely with the Sri Lankan foreign minister as well as the government, to further solidify cooperation between the two countries, in both bilateral and multilateral spheres.

The Maldivian minister took the opportunity to express his best wishes for the good health and well-being of the new Sri Lankan foreign minister, as well as the continued progress and prosperity for Sri Lankan people.

FM Shahid concluded his congratulatory message by offering assurances of his highest consideration.
