President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih embraces JP leader Gasim Ibrahim upon arrival in Maamigili
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is in Maamigili island of Alif Dhaal atoll, on an unofficial visit.
President Solih was received by Maamigili MP and ruling coalition member Jumhooree Party (JP) leader, Gasim Ibrahim upon his arrival in the island on Friday morning.
The president was accorded a red-carpet welcome at the airport, by the residents and well wishers .
Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail and Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer accompany the president on the unofficial visit.
Upon arrival , the president sat down with the island council members for discussion on the islands development .
Speaking to RaajjeMV regarding the trip, minister of state for environment climate change and technology, Ali Solih revealed that the president will also be visiting Gasim’s Sun Island Resort as part of the trip.
During the visit to Sun Island Resort, the president will sit down with Gasim .
