Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a search for an individual wanted in connection with a case forwarded to the Civil Court.

In an announcement on Saturday, the police institution identified the individual as Jaufar Shafeeu, 51, a native of Malé City.

The man is wanted in connection with a case submitted at the Civil Court and the police institution was instructed to take the man into police custody and present him to court, through a court order.

MPS is to present the wanted individual to court at 11:45am on May 29.

The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information on the wanted individual is attained.

The police institution has also expressed gratitude for the immense public support and assistance in such matters.
