Four individuals have been injured in two separate gang confrontations that took place in Malé City, the capital of Maldives, on Monday.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the first assault was reported to the institution at around 05:48am on Monday.
The altercation is reported to have occurred near Maaveyo Mosque in Koarukendi Magu.
Two Maldivian men, 23 were injured in the attack and rushed to IGMH for treatment.
RaajjeMV understands that one of the assault victims has since been released after treatment. The second victim however, continues to seek treatment for multiple injuries after being stabbed in the back bone.
The second case of assault was reported to the police at around 09:17am.
Two victims were reported from the second stabbing as well, both of whom have since been rushed to ADK Hospital where they continue to receive treatment.
Photos and video clips circulating on social media show that the victims of both assaults were attacked with sharp weapons.
The police have since revealed that further investigations in connection with the altercations, are underway.
