President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has been presented with a copy of a book authored by Ahmed Saleem, Ambassador-at-large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Based on peace, human rights and democracy, the book is titled “Riveli” and was handed over to the Maldivian President at the President’s Office on Thursday.
During the meeting that followed, the President extended gratitude to the Ambassador-at-large for gifting him the book on his reflections on peace, democracy and human rights.
The book is written in both English and Dhivehi.
Speaking at the meeting, Saleem briefed President Solih on some of the most prominent incidents mentioned in the book.
Chief of Staff at the President's Office Ali Zahir attended the meeting as well.
