The Maldivian Government has spent more than one billion rufiyaa on Public Service Investment Programs (PSIP), thus fur in 2022.
According to the statistics publicized by the Ministry of Finance on March 15, the Maldivian government has spent MVR 1.1 billion on PSIP, by March 10, 2022.
Statistics shows that the most was spent on bridge development projects. As such a total of MVR 233.5 million was spent thus, this year.
Moreover, statistics shows that a total of MVR 187 million was spent on water and sewerage projects over the country. These include MVR 151.6 million on installation of water and sewerage systems in islands, MVR 6.5 million spent on sewerage system installation and MVR 28.9 million spent on water systems.
Ministry's statistics goes onto reveal that MVR 137.8 million was spent on housing and infrastructure projects, MVR 157.9 million on land reclamation and road construction and MVR 105.3 million on harbor development projects.
The government has so far spent; MVR 6.7 million on national security and public order, MVR 30.6 million on development of health services, MVR 64.5 million on education sector and MVR 144.4 million on environmental protection projects.
By March 10, 2022, the Maldivian Government's expenditure reached MVR 6.5 billion according to the Finance Ministry.
