The president departed on an unofficial visit to Singapore on Wednesday
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed to Singapore on an unofficial visit.
The president is accompanied by spouse, First Lady Fazna Ahmed.
The first couple departed on Wednesday and it is unclear when they will be returning.
In a Twitter post, the president revealed that the purpose of his visit to Singapore is to seek medical treatment for Thyroid, upon doctor recommendation.
He expressed hope to return back to his official responsibilities after a successful treatment.
This comes a week after the First Couple concluded their last unofficial visit to Singapore.
