The land reclamation and shore project in Ihavandhoo island of Haa Alif atoll is well underway.
Providing updates regarding the project, the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that the project has reached 54 percent completion.
Currently underway is the rock boulder revetment component of the project, which MTCC revealed is also progressing well.
Under the scope of the land reclamation and shore protection project of Ihavandhoo includes reclaiming 25 hectares of land and constructing a rock boulder revetment measuring 850-meters.
The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC on 11 November 2020.
The project is valued at MVR 123.96 million.
